The Willoughby Civic League meets on the second Thursday of the month from September through June. We meet at 6:30 PM the American Legion Post at 850 W. Ocean View Ave, Norfolk , VA.
Welcome to the Willoughby Civic League! We are a community organization located in the Ocean View neighborhood of Norfolk, Virginia. Our mission is to promote and improve the quality of life in our community through civic engagement, advocacy, and community service.
The Willoughby Civic League has been serving our community for many years. We are a group of volunteers who are dedicated to making our neighborhood a better place to live, work, and play. Our members come from a variety of backgrounds and professions, but we are all united by our love for our community and our desire to make a positive impact.
One of our main goals is to foster a strong sense of community among our residents. We believe that by working together, we can create a safer, more vibrant, and more inclusive neighborhood. To that end, we organize a variety of community events throughout the year, including our annual fish fry, flea market and holiday celebrations. We also partner with local businesses and organizations to promote economic development and job growth in our area.
In addition to our community events, the Willoughby Civic League also engages in advocacy on behalf of our residents. We work closely with local government officials and agencies to address issues such as public safety, transportation, and environmental concerns. We also provide information and resources to our residents to help them navigate local government processes and programs.
Finally, the Willoughby Civic League is committed to community service. We believe that giving back to our community is an essential part of being a good neighbor. We organize regular volunteer opportunities for our members and encourage everyone to get involved in community service projects throughout the year.

Our Purpose
The purpose of the Willoughby Civic League shall be to promote the principles of good citizenship among the residents, property owners, and proprietors of business establishments of the Willoughby Spit section of the City of Norfolk, to unite for cooperation and interchange of ideas for the best interests of this section towards beautification, recreation, and safety of its residents and the protection of their property investments, and to cooperate with other organizations for the best interests of this section in particular and the City in general.
